"Maker Vegetation Clearing"-17th January 2015

"It's been way too long!"

That was the words on everyone's lips as we all reunited on the minibus this morning!

Funny how two years can feel like forever and then nothing at all when you're back with friends.

With the reunions over with and Esther's 'amazing' driving skills we arrived at Maker, keen get back in the volunteering groove...

Just look at those keen faces!

The aim of today's efforts was to start clearing the overgrown foliage surrounding area of the WWII bunker...
Can't see the bunker? Then you know why they called us in!

Being a bit rusty, Sam gave us all a great refresher on the tools of the trade.

The Camouflage is not required but it does make you look cooler ...

We barely got started before Esther made a new friend...

Everybody eventually got stuck in though as the day went by....

Some people even took it literally...Brambles...Yeowwch...

We even found some 'Down to Earth' music..

At the end of a long days work, we had given the place quite the makeover...

The huge pile of trimmings...

I think we can agree we all had a great first day back working together...

Well most of us anyway...
